The overall vision of this thematic research group is to investigate new technology in the area of radio transceivers in integration with signal processing. The research investigation targets emergent field of reconfigurable software design radio (SDR) technology in a holistic approach. This meets the demand of radio design for multi-standard and multi-mode handsets, base stations and tactical radios

The IRdsp group research is divided into two broad areas:

(A) Radio Frequency Circuit design

(B) Signal processing in radio system design.

These broad areas are targeting specific research interests of faculties and students .

The IRdsp group aims for:

 

(A) Excellent academic research.

(B) Excellent research outcome in terms of technology development and deployment.

(C) Excellent manpower training for academics and industry .

(D) Technology transfer and productize research.

(E) Industrial collaboration and entrepreneurship.

  • B.Tech project proposal title " IoT enabled Granary for efficient grain management" from IRdsp group, has been accepted in cypress contest “start sensing the world”. Congratulations to the team members Tushar Choudhary and Subham Sarkar who are receiving CY8CKIT-048 PSoC® Analog Coprocessor Pioneer Kit from Cypress. Tushar Choudhary and Subham Sarkar are B.Tech students in Department of Electronics and Communication at I.I.T Roorkee. They are supervised by Dr. Karun Rawat.

This personal research group is formed by faculties and students of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T) Roorkee, India. The people involved in this group are carrying out research at I.I.T Roorkee under a particular theme of integrated radio development and signal processing (IRdsp).
